Michael Anthony Lubotina

December 24,1938 – April 1, 2024

Michael Anthony Lubotina, 85 passed away peacefully on April 1,2024.

Born on Dec 24,1938 to Peter and Josephine Lubotina in Buhl Mn.

After High school Mike joined the Army serving with the 593D Signal Company during the Korean War Conflict.

After completing his Military Service he returned to Buhl and married the love of his life, Frances Bombich in 1962. They made their home in Hibbing raising three beautiful children. Mike worked at many different companies in his younger days including Hill Annex Mine, Langer Equipment, RMS, The City of Hibbing, Ev Tac and eventually retiring as Carpenter and Equipment Maintenance man for the MN DNR. Mike enjoyed being in the garage working on race cars, attending the races and served as race Steward at Hibbing Raceway for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and built many beautiful pieces of furniture and woodcrafts for Fran’s painting hobby. Mike enjoyed his retirement watching sports tv and relaxing in his Lazy boy. He was well known for his pocket full of jokes, the more risqué the better and enjoyed the smiles and a good middle finger wave of people passing by his window.

Mike was a stubborn strong minded man that loved his family with all his heart.

He is survived by his wife Frances, Children: Lin Greene, Debbie (Ken) Colwell, and David (LeAnn) Lubotina. Grandsons: Brandon Colwell and Dacota Greene and Two brothers Peter and Richard.
