Susan Amy Smith (Carlson, Cuff)

April 10th, 1954 – March 12th, 2024

In Loving Memory of Susan Amy Smith (Carlson, Cuff)

Susan (born April 10th, 1954 – March 12th, 2024) departed not alone but with her son Robert by her side, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts.

A woman of independence, Susan embraced life with a passion for simplicity and beauty. She found solace in the gentle rhythm of Lake Superior, often taking leisurely walks on the beach, where she took joy in collecting beach glass, driftwood, and other treasures she would find. She regarded these treasures as gifts meant only for her. These moments of serenity mirrored the tranquility she brought into the lives of those around her.

Susan’s devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren, knew no bounds. Her love for her grandchildren was a guiding light in her life. She reveled in creating lasting relationships with each of them, filling their days with laughter, warmth, and the simple joys of life. Whether it was crafting together, sharing stories, or embarking on adventures, she cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. The bond she shared with them was a testament to the deep and unconditional love she carried in her heart.

Susan is survived by her loving family, Sons Robert W. Stout Jr and Johnathan (Molly) Linge, and 6 Grandchildren: Jacob (22), Jonah (18), Lily (16), Luke (15), Bella (9), and Isla (5).

In honoring Susan, let us remember her as a beacon of love and independence.
