Robert Blair LeNeau Sr. (Bob), 68, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away suddenly at his home on October 18, 2026, following his battle with heart failure.
Bob was born on July 4, 1958, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to William LeNeau and Joan (Snider) LeNeau. He grew up with a passion for hunting and fishing and often shared stories of his trips. Bob could talk for hours about the hobbies he enjoyed.
He graduated from East High School in Duluth, Minnesota, and went on to build a career in heavy equipment sales, spending approximately 35 years on the road. At the start of his career, he traveled west to Montana, where he lived with his brother, Billy, for five years before eventually returning to Duluth.
Beyond his career in sales, Bob was known for being a conversationalist. He had a way of striking up conversations with anyone he crossed paths with and creating meaningful friendships. During his time living at the Village of Matterhorn, Bob found a wonderful community of people who recognized his kindness, compassion, and the special place he held in their lives.
He loved his friends and family deeply, always making it a priority to check in with them almost daily and wishing them to “have a great day, please.” His love for his children was known by all who knew him, as he often spoke about how grateful he was for them. Bob excitedly welcomed his first grandchild in late August and loved being a grandpa.
Bob is survived by his children, Morgan and Robert (Blair); his grandson, Elias; and his brothers, Billy and John, as well as many loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Joan; and his brother, Marc.
A Celebration of Bob’s life is planned for Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided in the community room at the Village of Matterhorn, located at 4746 Matterhorn Cir., Duluth, MN 55811.
